The dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir Pulwama district has left the nation in shock. The country known for peace is now a valley of sorrow, where families are inconsolable when waiting to receive the mortal remains of the CRPF Jawans.
Kashmir suicide Bombing was reportedly the deadliest of all the attacks India's Paramilitary Forces in a decade. Feb 14 brought with it grief and gloom to the families of jawans killed in the Pulwama attack.
The bodies of the slain soldiers were flown to Delhi after which PM Modi and other leaders laid the wreath on the coffins, wrapped in the national flag.
Families received condolences from Prime Minister Modi, Minister of Home Affairs Rajanath Singh, Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharaman, AICC President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal. PM paid his tribute and later speaking at a rally he swore to punish the perpetrators responsible for Pulwama Attack.
"The sacrifices of the Jawans shall not be in vain, no matter where these people from terror organizations hide, they will not go unpunished. The security forces will be given full freedom to punish the perpetrators responsible for Pulwama Attack," he said, at a public rally in Maharashtra's Yavatmal.
Extending support to India the heinous attack of Jaish-e-Muhammed was condemned by 48 countries as India made a notable decision to completely isolate in Pakistan future endeavors. In the Cabinet Committee On Security (CCS) meet, it was decided that India would withdraw its support to Pakistan from the ‘most favored nation’ status given to them in trade services in 1996.
Further, the mortal remains of the martyred soldiers were flown to their homes across the nation and respective State Governments who facilitated funeral processions and arrangements to carry the bodies to the place of final rites where the heroes were laid to rest.
An SUV carrying 100 kg of explosives rammed into the bus on Thursday, carrying CRPF soldiers who were posted on duty at the valley. Around 40 CRPF personnel and 2 ROP personnel were killed in the attack. More than 2500 soldiers were returning to the valley to resume their duty, some of them were back after a vacation, they were returning in 78 vehicles when they were attacked at the Srinagar- Jammu highway.
‘Jaish-e-Mohammad’ a terrorist, Deobandi jihadist group has claimed the responsibility of this ‘fidayeen’ attack, the suicide bomber was identified as Adil Ahmad. National Investigation Agency along with experts of National Security Group have joined forces with Jammu and Kashmir Police to investigate the attack.
The incident has left the civilians with anger and questions. It's been told that a warning alert was regulated by the Intelligence Bureau about the possibilities of the attack after a threat by JeM. The maximum limit complied for a convoy is 1000 personnel. According to the Intelligence Bureau Input, there was a possibility that this attack could have been stopped.
