As per Nielsen’s SVOD content ratings, the third season had an average minute audience of around 12.8 million, during the first four days of its release. It’s a great increase of nearly 21 percent, for a similar period, when compared to 2017’s second season (10.6 million).
Talking about each episode, then the first one, titled “Suzie, Do You Copy?” had a viewership of 19.17 million in the first four days of release. And around 6 out of the total 8 episodes had an audience of 10 million, over the weekend.
Moreover, around 824,000 people ‘binge-watched the entire third season on its very first day of the premiere itself, that is, July 4, 2019. It’s really huge when compared to the figure of 361,000 people who watched the second season, in one day, back in 2017.
When it comes to the viewership figures by Netflix itself, then according to the streaming service, around 40.7 million accounts, worldwide, watched Stranger Things 3 over the period of four days of its release—a new record for an original series, in a time frame of four days!
Overall, it means that Stranger Things has become so much popular now, than any other show, that people are always curious to watch it whenever a new season arrives on the streaming platform—in a way helping Netflix gain more revenues also, while competing with other streaming platforms like Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.
