Those injured were immediately moved to the Al-Hamna Hospital.

Meanwhile, the authorities have started investigating the entire incident, as there have been similar and recent cases of pilgrims getting killed in Saudi Arabia.

Before this accident, last year in April 2018, four British pilgrims were killed while 12 were injured following the collision of their bus with a fuel tanker. They were going to the holy city of Mecca.
Also in January 2017, 6 British people were killed, including a two-month-old baby, in a minibus, when they were on their way to Medina.
There have been other cases also apart from the ones mentioned above, in Saudi’s holy cities, where the people were killed due to stampede or by a construction crane getting toppled into a courtyard of a Mosque.
