Infinity Saga: The official name given to the collection of 22 MCU movies from 'Iron Man to Avengers: Endgame'

As the release date for Avengers: Endgame is approaching fast, there’s also the big question in the minds of the fans. What will be the entire timeline of all the 22 movies be called after Phase 3 ends with Endgame? Here's an answer for that now.

Phase 1, 2, and 3 in the MCU that started with 2008’s Iron Man and will conclude with Infinity War’s part 2 next month, have got an official title from the boss of Marvel Studios himself.

'Infinity Saga’ is the name that’s been given to the collection of all the 22 movies in MCU, till phase 3. Avengers: Endgame will be the last film under it. Reportedly, the name ‘Infinity Saga’ was mentioned by Kevin Feige, while he was interacting with Empire Magazine, recently.

Feige revealed it in an interview.

“We wanted to bring to a conclusion a series of movies in a way that had never been done before. Harry Potter had an ending because there were only so many books. Lord of the Rings too. But we thought, 22 movies in, wouldn’t it be fun to bring some finality to the storyline?”

And because the entire storyline of these 22 films till now is based on the Infinity Stones and their essence, it’s apt to give a title like that.

Endgame will carry forward from the events of Infinity War, last year when Thano’s Decimation wiped out half of the universe’s population with a snap. He used all the stones at once with the help of an Infinity Gauntlet.

Many fans are thinking of Captain Marvel to be a savior now for not only helping the remaining Avengers but also to defeat the Mad Titan, Thanos, in the biggest battle ever fought, in the entire MCU.
