Friday Being Observed By Pakistanis In Full Solidarity With Kashmiris

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Thursday, had called for ‘Kashmir Hour’ to be observed by all the countrymen, on Friday, August 30, 2019, to raise voice for the Kashmiris and the atrocities being suffered by them in the valley.

And today all the Pakistanis are observing Friday in full solidarity with the people of Kashmir, as according to them, they are facing rough times in the valley after the abrogation of Article 370 by the Indian government.

Earlier in the morning, the Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the country will be showing full solidarity with ‘grief-stricken Kashmiris’ in the Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK).

The DG ISPR was addressing a conference on Defence Day when he also revealed his PM’s plan for a Kashmir Hour.

The same message was tweeted by the authorities of Pakistan as well, on Thursday.

And currently, all the Pakistani users on social media are coming out on their Twitter profiles for observing the Kashmir Hour. Most of them are showing pictures of Indian Army beating the Kashmiris. But not every picture, however, can be called real or authentic due to the way they are being portrayed in the posts.

Pakistan’s former cricketer Shahid Afridi also supported this plan by his country’s PM and urged others to join him in this.

There has been a rage and fury among the 'supporters of Kashmir in Pakistan', after the BJP government in India lifted the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, on August 5, 2019, and removed Article 370 and Article 35A. It was followed by making J&K and Ladakh as two separate union territories, and now they are part of the Indian constitution as well.
