"He Was Really A Happy Boy, Really A Loving Boy, Always Kind And Happy And Playful," described the grandmother who lost her 6-year-old grandson Stephen Romero in the tragic incident.

"It has to be someone really sick because shooting a kid and that's a family event, I hope for Justice," she demanded.

Meanwhile, authorities seek the motive behind the assault. The suspect identified as Santino William Legan sustained fatal injuries after police opened fire and cost him his life. “My son had his whole life to live, and he was only 6”, a grief-ridden father told NBC news.
According to the Gun Violence Archive, 246 mass shootings causing 233 deaths have occurred in 2019. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported nearly 40,000 Americans died from gunshot wounds in 2017, an all-time high.
